I agree with her. It's very possible to feel rich without possessions. That's a truth. How many people who have everything they want don't feel really rich? Most important things you can't buy them, so it's an interesting lifestyle. I think I could be happy living like her but not in a big town. Here it's very complicated, you need money for go anywhere, do anything, etc. If I would live in a smaller town things will be easier. I could walk where I want without any money. Exchanging favours would be easier too. Anyway this lifestyle is hard because, actually, society isn't prepared to think about that. So I'm not sure if I would like to live this. I don't think it could work for everybody. How do I know it will work for me? It's difficult and it's needed to be valiant. In that case, she is psycotherapist and she has something to do for other people but, what about people has nothing to offer? How can I travel around the world with this lifestyle? I would have to give up doing a lot of important things for me. I could be live this but I have to pay a high price. Important is feeling rich (without money, with little money or with a lot of money) and things people think about you doesn't mind. However it's a beautiful utopia.

I agree with her. When we have possessions we give more importance to our possessions than our family or our friends for example. I can’t imagine my life without my family or my friends and less without health however I can imagine my life without my possessions because I’ve things that I never use them. Yes I can live happily without money if I have a family and a good friendship with my friends because I’m sure they would help me but above all if I’m healthy because of I can’t imagine her life without health. With regard to if I would like to life like her I don’t really know it because I’ve never tried it in a big city however in summer time I help to the children with their homework of September in my mother’s village. But we live in a society where the people are valuing for what they have and in my case my parents give as my sister as I everything what they’ve never had so we’d grown with more things than we’ve needed and nowadays we’re doing the some with our family and it’s a pity because I’ve always said if you don’t try it you don’t know it

In general, I think this person acts with advantage.
First she left her normal life when she was older and had raised their children. If you keep a family can´t do this kind of experiments.
Second, the title is false, it would be "living with a bit of money", because she works to get some things.
A normal person need a home and enough money to cover your needs.
If people haven´t at least covered the needs and are considered rich, is very ignorant.
I do not need to be a millionaire, but I do not like having economic problems.
Therefore,I wouldn´t like to live like her.

I think that is possible to feel rich without possessions, because it´s like Heidemarie Schewermer says to us, the “money distracts us from what´s important”. If we think about it like: what would you take if your home get into fire? I´m sure about my answer, only my dog. I think we don´t need too many possessions, but I think that there are possessions that have a great value because it remembered you someone, somewhere or something special. The people and the animals are what get value to the life.
But we don´t need everything that we got, and we don´t use everything that we have. We are influenced by the fashion, new things, we think that we MUST have it. But we don´t need it and I´m sure that most of the people that have the last mobile don´t know to use it at all.
I think that is possible to live without money, but not in this society, not with this organization. Heidemarie can live without money but only because the people that are around her have it and they want to support what she is doing. She says that she´s trying more people to join it. If all the people would do this it would works, and we wouldn´t need money anymore. But from now I think like Carlos, that it´s only a utopia. I would like to live in a world without money.
And this is the reason than now, in this society, you can´t live happily without money, because you need it to cover your basics needs. Perhaps it might works if you live in a little village and all the people that live there think and act in the same way.
I don´t think that you need a lot of money to be happy, just what you need. But there are too many people that need a lot of money to be happy, because they have to cover a lot of created needs and they don´t stop their minds and think about it. They only want the best car, the most expensive clothes and things like that, because this society has said to them that if they have these things they will be someone important, and they have believed this. We can´t forget that the human race is selfish and envious among other things.
I would like that the society works in the way that Heidemarie thinks and acts, but I think it would take a lot of time to change all the things that we have to change. Well, I think it can´t be possible.

Generally speaking, I agree with Heidemarie’s idea. Richness lies in the heart. Being a person is the best possession but to be a good person is the best possession. So could Whitman say in his song to the human species: “A smaller articulation of my hand could humiliate all machines”.
About living without money, in my opinion nowadays society does not allow us to do so because our “game rules” are strong and closed. Our society is one where the capital and money have got the power. Therefore, living without money seems utopian.
About Heidemarie’s lifestyle I think it is very interesting because Hedemarie’s personality is interesting too. She’s a charming, independent, reliable and unselfish woman. But she also carries a lot of social skills. To sum it all up, I would like to live like her, but sincerely I don't have all those personality adjectives in myself.

I think they are tricky questions
If you buy something whit money, first you had exchanged your work for it. Money is only an intermediate step in the chain exchanges.
Money doesn't give you happiness, because you can't buy the most important things life such a friends or healthy but it can help you to reduce your problems.
With money you can buy food or medicines for your family or rent a house. What happens with people who have nothing to exchange?. When you use money, you are paying tax and you are helping people with it.
The life without money in a modern city only would be possible in two situations:
1. voluntary as experiece: people without responsabilities.
2. involuntary: when people don't have a paid work.
When my mother was young there was no food anywhere and she exchanged a cabbage for reading and writing lessons. She told me that it had been the most expensive cabbage she had ever obtained in her life. Then she decided two things, first look for a paid work and second never became a teacher. I agree with her first decision.

In general, I agree with her too. It would be great living without money, having a good life only by exchange of things. And I think we would be happier and more sociable.

But this is very difficult in a big city, because this way of life needs everyone want to barter. To make it possible, we should create small cities with one person from each profession, but this is utopia.

haven´t money it’s happier than other than have money. Because they have each other. I visited Tunisia four years ago and I was surprised that these people were happy with a few things that they had

Money’s necessary in the everyday life because you can’t buy things or spend time without money. Today’s society is consumerist. You need money for buy clothes, books or pay meals,...

I don’t like her lifestyle. I couldn’t live as she does it. I would feel uncomfortable if I had to be all the time asking for thing that I have around, although it was an exchange.

I love Heidemarie!! I think that she´s a wonderful person. I wish were more people like her, surely the worl would be better.
Nowadays people have everything but that dosen´t make us happier. However, that makes people worring about things they have instead of being truly happy.Formerly people lived without money only used the barter, I think is a good way of living but today is very dificult, because we are living in a consumer society and the money is very important for all. Hopefully, that will change someday although is a utopian idea.

In my opinion, life without money is imposible in our society because all the System is based in the money. I would think differently but I can´t. Maybe the only way is to reset all the things that we've created. I think the human race needs to value all the things. when humans lived in small groups, more than 2,500 years ago, moneys wasn't necesary, however there were objets or materials that acted as money so i think this is a inherent thought to the human race, but live without money is a wonderfull utopia.

I partially agree with the lady´s experience. In general i think is imposible to organize the society this way because the citizen have created a lot of needs that are very difficult to covert with exchange. But i would to share an experiencie that i know it. Is near of here in Rivas Vaciamadrid. It´s calls Bank of time and consist in something similiar as a video´experience: people exchange their free time and they offer a different service, for example to cook an a cake, teaching or walking the dog. In my opinion this a great initiative.

In my opinion she lives like all us, the one differencce it´s that she hasn´t a diary job, when she needs something she work for this thing.

I think isn´t imposible live without money, but I´m sure that live in this way isn´t good, because a long time ago people lived whitout mony, they exchange his posesion for the thing by other person. And these way to life finished because money are most easy to use than sheeps or cows.

I agree with her opinion about our greedy society, I want people think less on money and more in things more important like the rest os people.
I have the hope that one day our will see around and will see the rest people, no them clothes or moviles.

I think that Heidemarie is a great woman, because i think that living in this way is very dificult, although the happiness is not only the possesions, there are a lot of "no material things" that makes feel rich with our lives.

I think that i couldn'l live without money, probably if I were living in a village, there you can have animals, vegetables...you can know all neigbors and ask them for something and help them when they need. In the city this is more dificult, you need money for all, food, transport, clothes... the live is very quikly and I the people doesn't have many time for help you.

I think that the world would be better if there were more persons like her. I'll be extressed if I had to be always depending on people to obtain all I need.
