Intermediate 1: Childhood anecdotes

One day I was riding my tricycle in my backyard when I wondered if I could ride it with my eyes closed. So I shut my eyes and began riding. Next thing I knew I was cold and wet, I had ridden my trike right into the swimming pool, and my mom (who is very tiny, only 5'4" and 95lbs} had to jump in after me. I refused to let go of my trike, so she had to pull me out with it!
What's your anecdote? Please, share it with us!

When my son was three years old, every morning we used to go to the school walking. At the exit of home there was a little slope and he used to go always running until the end. One morning, as usual, he ran going down the slope but he stopped suddenly looking at a "six hundred" car in front of him. He walked around that so small car and asked me in surprise: Mum, where does one insert the coin?

A few years ago I found my neighbor outside the building sleeping in his car with the car door open. I tried to wake him up but I realized he was totally drunk. Every time that we cross paths in the elevator, the lobby or anywhere else, I can fell his shame.

Seeing is believing¡
What amazing it was to get up that morning in the middle of nowhere and to realize that everything had become white. I didn't have ever seen so snowstorm in my life. The landscape had totally changed overnight. We, my family and I, were trapped in the mountains because of that enormous and marvellous snowstorm. But, what it schocked me most was to show the biggest snowstorm in one of the dryest Country of the world belong to the oldest Continent of the worl 'Africa'.

Thank you very much for your anecdotes! I have really enjoyed reading them! They are good fun!

Sofía, I think you mean that you "used to walk to school", and "as you left home he ran down the slope". You do not need to repeat the ver to go!

Juanma, I can imagine how ashamed he must feel. I can also "feel" his shame!

Antonia, I am sure snow was amazing too!
i think you mean: "How amazing it was..." because "you had never seen such a snowstorm..." "What shocked me most..."
I don't really understand the last sentence...Who did you show it to? When?

Well done! Thank you again for your contributions!
