Disastrous Journey by Blanca (NI1B)
Forty minutes lost in Slovenia
My friend Ana and me were going to visit our friends who were studying abroad in 2009. It was one of the best and more exciting trips for us.
We flew from Madrid to Warsaw to visit our friend Nico and we spent four fun days together. After that, we flew to Ljubljana to visit Carlos who had gone there to study. Ljubljana is a pretty small city but there aren't many things to do so we decided go to Zagreb on the last day because Carlos was busy and he had told us that it was two hours away by train to Ljubljana so we could spend the day in other country instead of being bored in Ljubljana.
We had been travelling for an hour when the train stopped and all the passengers got off. We were at a small train station and we couldn`t speak English. Forty minutes later another train to Zagreb arrived. Although we had started the trip with a little shock, we enjoyed the day in Zagreb.

Anecdote by Mª José (NI1D)
My nightmare day
In the morning of 30th March I woke up startled because I realized that my alarm-clock hadn’t rang.
That day was the day of my sister's wedding. I couldn't waste any time so I dressed up quickly, combed my hair and made myself up but... I did it too fast and the make-up sealed my eye and I could hardly see.
While I was running down the stairs, the heel of my shoe broke and I fell down the stairs. All my body hurt! Although it was painful I was able to hobble towards my car. When I was arriving at the church I was so anxious that I couldn't see an enormous tree and I crashed into it.
In the end I was exhausted but I had got there in time. In fact, it was too early, an hour early! The night before the clocks had gone back an hour. Then, I was furious and upset but above of all I had a painful body.

Disastrous Journey by Olga (NI1B)
This happened three years ago when I went to Portugal on holiday.
We went by plane, so we had rented a car that we had to pick up at Lisbon airport. As soon as we arrived, we went to the rent-a-car office. There, we were attended very badly because they didn’t tell us anything about what we had to do when an accident happened. After picking up the car, we went to the hotel and the two following days we visited a lot of places. But the third day we had a car accident. I was driving when another car hit our car. Then, we stopped and we were talking to the other driver. We were well because nobody had got injured so we filled in the report.
Finally, although we weren’t guilty we decided to go to the rent-a-car office to explain what had happened because we didn’t know if we had acted well, but everything was right.
