Describing people _ Listening Int 1

Hello everybody!

I hope you've really enjoyed your holidays!

We have been talking about relationships in class. I'd like you to continue practising your listening by watching this video by Real English. 

These people are describing their partners. Try to note down the adjectives that they mention:

I tried to note down the adjective that I didn't know, for example:rabishing, artsy, hyper or smart.

How long have you been together? We’ve been together about five years. Ok how do you describe your partner? He says she is beautiful, energetic, good company and good fun and how do you describe him? She says he is intelligent, handsome and (easygoing “this word is easy to hear but I don’t really know the meaning of it)

He says she is comparable, (that's wrong he says compatible) How do you describe your partner? Easy

Are you boyfriend’s over there (are is wrong she says Oh) How long have you been living together? She says five years. And how old is he now? Twenty six. Wow So how do you describe him? The girl say about his boyfriend he is tall than a handsome.( It's wrong because she says dark and instead than and a)

Could you describe to your wife for me please? David says about his wife she is beautiful, sexy,(I don't know what means ravishing so I didn't put it I have to see the video )and lovely. She says about her husband he is very practical, kind, considerate, handsome, (I don't know what means gone grey so I didn't put it I have to see the video) I don’t want to leave out Abi describes your parents for me.
And the girl says about them embarrassing, annoying and funny. It’s Ok?

Are you married? Yes with him. How long have you been married? One year and half; and how do you describe him? Well he is very calm, as you see, very cute and I love him. He is very cute. Thank you.

Brenda says about Jeff he is very ( I don't know what means artsy so I didn't put it I have to see the video)smart, clever, and poetic and he says about her she is very beautiful, hard-working, kind and generous.
What do you think about your partner? How do you describe her?
Mark says about Jeanette she is very beautiful, and I love her very much. And how do you describe him? Jeanette says about him he is a very handsome and I'm very proud of him.

And are you married? Do you have a girlfriend? ( I don’t put or) I have a girlfriend. How do you describe her? ( do is wrong she says would) very fun, beautiful, very smarts ( the s is wrong) determine ( I don’t put d) she’s going to be very successful life ( I don’t put in between successful and life) And what is she going to do? She is going to be a lawyer; she is going to the University of Miami right now to be a lawyer.

Are you married? Yeah I have a wife. How do you describe your wife? Cool, (Italian and hyper I have been incapable to hear them so I have to see the video and I don’t know what means hyper neither the sentence you know how they are) crazy

How long have you been married? 22 years, and how do you describe your partner? How gosh! Fun, interesting. He meant to say gorgeous and intelligent I’m sure it’s his mind (this is wrong I haven’t put just slipped) ( while she is laughing it’s impossible to understand this sentence that was the next thing. It was just on the tip of) my tongue. How do you describe him? Gorgeous and intelligent

How do you describe her? (do is wrong she says would) Funny, nice and cute. How do you describe her? (do is wrong she says would) funny, very sweet, and one of my best friends.

She is very caring and she always has other people in mind whenever she makes decisions (there are two words wrong she between and; and always I don’t put any between makes and decisions). And how about your husband? ( I don’t put Ok) he is really good dad

Are you married? Yes I’m married, you’re married and could you describe your husband? Oh my husband is very charming, he is funny, he has a lot of humour and he is very loving.

Are you married? Yes, yes how would you describe your partner? Oh fantastic! How would you describe him? Fantastic!

Really good job! I'm impressed!

Some adjectives such as "ravishing" or "artsy" are a bit difficult so don't worry too much if you didn't understand them. It's great that you understood all the other ones!
It's a great way to learn vocabulary in context.

Hello María.
I forgot uploading my answers.
I understood all the adjectives except when Anathea says thar her husband "gone grey", I didin't know how ravishing is written; when Brenda says "arsty" and when Quann says "Italian" and "hyper" (he has a difficult accent.
